Bruner Tuner is an automotive YouTube channel led by two goofy automotive experts. Their expertise and lively personalities draw in thousands of viewers each month. When tasked with establishing a visual identity for them, I spent a lot of time initially researching the history of some of the great automotive parts brands. With an audience base of mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts, I wanted Bruner Tuner to have a feeling they could attach to. Research finds that some of the biggest auto-parts brands started with cartoony logos drawn by the owner's friends or family, so I wanted to accentuate that. After debuting a branded car livery that looked like a 3-year-old put stickers on a HotWheels at multiple GridLife events in 2023, we found attendees attached to the very feelings we set out to create. BrunerTuner was able to maintain expertise while appearing fun and approachable.
